Mission
Our mission is to provide practical training to students interested in international affairs, to inform research on topics related to diplomacy, and serve as a hub for U-M’s engagement with the foreign policy community.
Housed at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, the Center brings a diverse cadre of seasoned diplomats and foreign policy experts to campus. It supports professors of practice in international diplomacy, as well as shorter-term opportunities for visiting diplomats from around the world. It also helps students apply knowledge in practical settings through workshops, simulations, conferences, Diplomacy Lab and internship opportunities in the U.S. and abroad. Together, the activities of the Weiser Diplomacy Center strengthen U-M's role as a national leader in international policy education.
