Basma Emam
Basma Emam brings extensive experience in community engagement, intercultural programming, and language instruction across higher education and K–12 settings. She joined the Weiser Diplomacy Center in April 2024 as an Administrative Assistant, bringing a strong foundation in educational leadership and student support. Basma holds a BA and MA in Oriental Studies from Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt, and has served as a lecturer, early childhood educator, translator, and scholar-in-residence. Her professional journey includes roles in Egypt and the U.S., including fellowships at the Center for Interreligious and Communal Leadership Education in Boston and bilingual instruction with Ann Arbor Public Schools. She is passionate about fostering inclusive learning environments and supporting students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
